New Bangladesh guidelines on malnutrition
In Bangladesh national guidelines for the case-management of severe acute malnutrition have been finalised.
Training on the implementation of the new national guidelines is now being carried out.
Training courses have been held at the BRAC University, Dhaka for MPH students, and at Uppsala University, Sweden, for students on Maternal and Child Nutrition in Low and Middle Income Countries. Training courses on case-management of malnutrition have also been held at ICDDRB in Dhaka for FDGP physicians and international participants from Asia, Africa and USA, and for UNHCR staff at Cox's Bazaar and Chittagong.
